Under 2 bucks...

Can it be true? Can you really get gas for under 2 bucks? Yes, you can. I am sure there are other gas station with gas under $2, but I got this from the BP on Hempstead Tpke. & Wantagh Pkwy. Of course they do the fucking ridiculous cash/credit different prices (as you can see). So I ended up paying @2.09 for my gas but still, it's HELLA CHEAP!!

I got 11 and a quarter gallons for about 24 bucks. I don't think I can remember the last time I was able to fill my tank for closer to 20 bucks rather than 40/50 bucks. I hope this stick for a long time, cause when you gotta fill your tank just about every week, it's nice to be able to do so for close to 20 dollars

Friggin A...

Friggin A why is it so hard to talk to a pretty girl you want to get to know? Is it the fear of rejection? Perhaps it's the fear of embarrassment. Perhaps its a combination of the two.

I just don't understand why it's so difficult for me to talk to a girl I find attractive. For the past couple of weeks I have had my eye on this one girl. She commutes into the city same time as me. We take the 7:43. She usually boards the second to last car and I usually wait for the last car. I keep playing this scenario in my head where we would meet each other on our walk from the car to the platform, however I keep missing her by the slightest second.

So today, I decided to deviate from my normal routine of waiting for the last car of the train and follow her and wait where she waits. Of course, my shyness/fear of rejection/fear of embarrassment took over and I failed to say "Hi, good morning." So later I decided to take the 6:05 train home, the train she normally takes, but yet again I failed to say anything.

It's just so frustrating knowing you could be throwing something away by not saying, "Hi." I keep telling myself just say, "Hi," if it blows up then go back to your normal routine and never see her again, but when the time comes, my heart starts to beat really fast and I get all clammy and cotton mouth and nervous and just stand their, probably looking like an idiot, with the occasionally glances at her and then looking the other way.

ARRRRRGH!! why is this shit so difficult. Tomorrow will be the day. I AM GOING TO SAY HI (at the least)

OMFG!!!

HOLY SHIT!! I just saw a commercial for a sequel to probably one of the greatest game on Playstation 3 EVER!!

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is being followed up by Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

I saw a commercial on Spike that "...shows Nathan Drake walking through a blizzard, stumbling and trying to protect his eyes. In a voiceover, he mentions that he should have quit when he was ahead but goes on to state that fortune favors the bold as he reaches down and picks up an ornately carved artifact sticking out of the snow. Unfortunately for Nathan, it appears that he's seen much better times: he's favoring his right arm and appears to have been severely beaten with cuts over his face and arms." - Courteous of IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/934/934653p1.html).

I am definitely looking forward to this game :)

Knock Knock...

How hard is it for people to knock on the bathroom door? I mean its common sense and common courtesy. If the door's locked perhaps there is someone in there, does anyone ever think of that?
It's one thing to not knock, but when you try to open the door with a key (I am talking public bathroom in my office building) and the door suddenly get pulled back, wouldn't you think oh someone must be in there or would you try two more times to open the door?

This very situation happened to me today. I was in the bathroom, door locked, fan going, lights on (of course) when someone tried to open the door. Luckily I heard them try to get in before so I had my hand ready to slam the door shut. Yes they tried to open the door three times. So after the third time I yelled, "You could try knocking first!"

Yeah that was my excitement for the day. Then it got better when Spencer around a link to this awesome little flash game: http://www.puzzlefarter.com ENJOY!!

Disgusting old trains...

Ugh after wonderful day at work I get stuck on a wonderful, old LIRR train. Seriously when are they going to decommission these bad boys.

As I stand there on track 21 waiting for the train to come, everyone looking in the direction in the direction the train comes from. Suddenly the lights show and to my disgust it's an disgusting, old LIRR train. Seriously these trains need to be decommissioned. Half the window seats have no arm rests, how's a guy to sleep. Half the aisle seats (the ones on the three seaters) have no head rests, again how's a guy to sleep. The lights don't stay on half the time, how's a guy to read.

Yet one day waiting for the morning train, yet another old train arrives and the person next to me goes "Oldie but goody." Now I have used this phrase before but mostly when I'm talking about a song or movie. I couldn't quite tell if he was being sarcastic. But then he started to talk to his group of friends and they all agreed to like these old trains over the newer trains. I really don't understand how anyone could like these older trains over the newer trains, but I guess to each his own.

Dinning/Pool Table

My friend send me this link (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/la/fusion-table-dining-table-and-pool-table-062394) the other to a very interesting dinning room table, which happens to conveniently convert itself into a pool table. The table is called "The Fusion Table" and can viewed at www.fusiontables.com. According to one of the user comments the table cost around 6 grand. If I had the money and the house to put it in I would definitely invest in this dinning/pool table.

Mozzrella Stick Goldfish

These have by far got to be the greatest Goldfish crackers, ever. My mom picked these up the other day because they looked interesting and she wanted to try them. I am glad she did because they are AWESOME. They actually taste like real mozzarella sticks, not just mozzarella cheese. They have a hint of marinara sauce as well as the crunchiness of the breadcrumbs. I don't mean the crunchiness of the cracker itself, but it seems as if they have little breadcrumbs on them to give it that extra little breadcrumb crunchiness. I think everyone who loves mozzarella sticks (even those who don't) should try these because they are amazing.

Snail on the Wall

I found this snail crawling up I beam by the train station a while back. I found it interesting because I have 1. Never actually seen a snail like that before and 2. Didn't realize snails could crawl that far up a wall or beam. This snail was a little bit above my head and I am 5'9". So lets say he was about 6 and a half feet or so up the beam. I felt compelled to take a picture for posterity :-)

So apparently today is park(ing) day...

So apparently today is park(ing) day. This pretty kewl phenomenon where New Yorkers take over a precious NYC parking spot and use ti for there own personal use. I haven't actually been out of the office today, so I haven't gotten a chance to see any set up, but many of them I from a video lay down sod and/or astro turf along with a bench and/or some chairs and just relax. The video I watched was located here: http://parkingdaynyc.org/.

Oh no, is it deja vú

Oh no, here we go again. *knock on wood* I sure as hell hope we are not witnessing some remnants of last season. I missed the last two games but the last game I saw we were 2 games up, no we are .5 a game back.

Now as I sit here watching tonight's game, biting my nails, I already know that the last two games I missed were against the Washington Nationals, so already I know this is not good. Considering we went from 2 games up to a half a game back mean only one thing we lost 2 games to the Nationals.

This game is making me a nervous wreck, as well as all other Mets fans (I'm sure). I turn on the game to see a 8-3 lead in the 6th inning. Only to see that lead shrink to 8-5 by a monstrous homer run by Elijah Dukes. Carlos Beltran increased the lead to 9-5 with a solo home run his second of the game.

The 8th inning was relatively painless, aside from the fact of almost nice sliding grab by Beltran, a sweet run saving catch by Ryan Church, and a long drive to the warning track in center.

Here we are now in the bottom of the 9th, and two run home run Heilman gives up a walk to make it 1st and 2nd, unfortunately he wasn't helped by David Wright's throwing error to put the lead off man on. A nice diving stop by Delgado gets the 1st out but the runner move 90 feet closer. A hard shot back to Pedro Feliciano get the next batter and holds the runners at bay. Final out and..FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Willy Neives shoots a line drive to center bringing home 2 runs making it 9-7, with the tying run to the plate. All Mets fans heart are increasingly pumping with anxiety and frustration.

Luis Ayala comes into the game to close it out. Pinch hitter, Roger. Bernadina, steps in and..."HEEE STRUCK HIIIIM OUT," one of the most famous lines from Gary Cohen. It is definitely better than is patented "IT'S OUTTA HEEEEERE"

So where does this leave us. We are a game ahead of the Brewers in the Wild Card race, and if the Brewers win will will be .5 a game ahead of them in the wild card race. This always leaves us with the fact that this is how we started September last year. Seven relievers were used in tonight's game. This is definitely unacceptable with a 5 run lead in the 6th. If this continues there is no way we will make it far in the play off.

All and all we need to step up as a team and a pitching staff and perform. Plain and simple.

Mets come from behind

Thanks to Carlos Delgado's 2-run home run and Ryan Church's RBI double, the Mets take a come from behind win over the Milwaukee Brewers. If the Nationals keep pounding the Phillies as they are now, the Mets would take a 2 game lead in the N.L. East. Wooooooooooh!!
